Creating this E-portfolio was definitely a new experience for me, It encouraged me to take a deeper look at the ancient history of the buildings forming my city.

i feel more connected to my past, and that i know a little bit more about how my ancestors used to live and how architects at the "ottoman" period used to think, and what building materials they used what special techniques.

i really want to thank professor David Mayernik for this amazing course, Rome is my first destination when i get the chance to travel and see the world and i am so interested in its magnificent architecture and with the professor’s generous  information i was able to have a more sense of what Rome really is and what it means.

One of the reasons I chose to discuss buildings in Damascus in my portfolio was to bring attention to this ancient city and its civilization.

the ancient city of Damascus is on UNESCO’S list of world heritage. And my heart breaks for all the destruction that is happening to it during this war.
